The recently released movie adaption of the author’s bestselling book “It Ends With Us” has resurfaced her eldest son Levi’s harassment accusations from back in 2022.
Colleen Hoover, the author of romantically charged books such as ‘It Ends With Us,’ ‘Ugly Love‘ and ‘Reminders of Him,’ is a devoted mother to three sons, Levi, Cale, and Beckham.
The New York Times Bestseller’s eldest son, Levi Hoover, has been subject to controversy after he was accused of se*ual harassment back in 2022.
With the release of the movie adaptation of Colleen’s most popular book, It Ends With Us, the matter is once again trending, with many asking for the boycott of her films and books due to her response to the whole situation, while others urge fellow fans to be more understanding.
The allegation first came to light on February 12, 2022, when a Twitter user by the handle @theonottlovebot added to a thread against Colleen Hoover, where she wrote,
She added in following tweets,

At the time of the alleged harassment, Levi was 21 years old while the accuser was a minor of 16 years old.
In November of 2021, Colleen posted a celebratory birthday post for her eldest, which confirms that Levi was indeed 21 at the time.
A few months after the accusations were first made, many called for the boycott of Colleen’s literary works, not only for her controversial reaction to her son’s allegations but also for the supposed romanticization of abuse in her books.
Colleen’s “controversial reaction” to the allegation was made on November 18, 2022, when she made a statement addressing the issue in a private Facebook group.
She quoted,
Colleen clarified that the supposed harassment was Levi asking the accuser for a picture, which made her feel uncomfortable.
She also added that she had never even seen the Instagram message the accuser had sent her, and when she finally found out about these allegations, she immediately contacted her.
Colleen added,
While that’s as far as the matter went, social media users are still unsatisfied with the way Colleen handled it, with some calling for her and Levi’s accountability.
In addition to the debate over the glorification of abuse in the recently released book-to-movie adaptation of ‘It Ends With Us,’ long-time fans are rethinking whether Colleen Hoover deserves the platform she holds.
