Kirk Cameron And Chelsea Noble Cameron Share Six Children By Adoption and Birth…”Passion For Adoption”

Being adopted herself, Kirk Cameron’s wife, Chelsea Noble Cameron, shares a “passion for adoption.”

Kirk Cameron, the actor who first had his stardom in the ’80s for his role as Mike Seaver in the TV sitcom ‘Growing Pains,’ is now more known for his online evangelism and advocacy for conservative Christian values.

The 53-year-old recently came under fire for his controversial statements about public schooling, for which he is trending on X (formerly Twitter.)

After these contentious remarks, people have been curious about his familial life.

Kirk Cameron has a large family of eight, including his wife, Chelsea Noble, and their six children.

And yes, all six of them are homeschooled.

Kirk and Chelsea first met on the set of Full House, in which Kirk’s sister, Candace Cameron Bure, had a recurring role as “DJ Tanner.”

However, the couple only fell in love after their respective characters, Mike Seavers and his girlfriend, Kate MacDonald, started their on-screen romance on the ABC sitcom ‘Growing Pains.’

In an interview with Fox News, he quoted,

She was Mike Seaver’s girlfriend on the show, so I like to tell people that I stole Mike’s girlfriend and I married her.

Kirk and Chelsea married in July 1991 and expanded their family in 1996 when they adopted their first child.

The couple strongly advocates for adoption and adopted 4 of their 6 children.

In a 2019 interview, Chelsea admitted that being adopted herself, she really has a “passion for adoption.”

Kirk and Chelsea adopted their four children- Jack, Isabella, Ahna, and Luke, in quick succession, only around a year apart, reasoning that they wanted the children to feel like they were the couple’s “first choice.”

Not long after their fourth adoption, the couple also had 2 biological children- Olivia and James Cameron.

Jack Cameron

Jack is the oldest of the Cameron children, born on November 5, 1996.

The 27-year-old has a passion for photography and film production and helps out with his father’s faith-based production companies.

For Jack’s recent birthday, his dad shared a heartfelt birthday post and quoted,

You’ve become a loving, and protective husband, a crazy-talented artist, a faithful friend, and man of God.

Jack married Kaylee Cornwall in February 2019.

He has not been very active on social media recently.

Isabella Cameron

Isabella is the second-oldest sibling and oldest daughter among the Cameron children.

Born on April 10, 1998, Isabella is now a flight attendant and currently resides in Boston.

She is quite active on social media, where she posts travel photos, playful reels about air hostessing, and clips of her singing.

Isabella shares a close bond with her adoptive parents, often sharing appreciation posts on her social media.

In an emotional video she posted on her Instagram, Isabella finally met her birth mother for the first time since being separated in 1998.

Isabella captioned the video,

Wow. After 24 years, I got to meet my birth mom. What a beautiful reunion – my heart is so full 🥰🥰

Ahna Cameron Bower

Shortly after the adoption of her elder sister Isabella, Kirk, and Chelsea adopted Ahna in January 1999.

Ahna is married to Austin Bower and recently welcomed their first child, Maya Jeanne Noble Bower, on July 26th, 2024.

As evidenced by her Instagram, she is an avid traveler and woman of God.

She has traveled extensively to countries like the Dominican Republic and Cambodia on missions to help the poor and sick.

Luke Cameron

Luke, the last child adopted by Kirk and Chelsea, was born in April 2000, only 15 months after Ahna.

The 24-year-old graduated high school in 2019 and joined ‘Link Year,’ a religious-based program that bridges the gap between high school and college.

He began his higher education at Lee University in Cleveland, TN, in 2020.

Based on his social media, Luke is an active church member and advocates the same values as his father.

Olivia Cameron

Olivia was Kirk and Chelsea’s first biological child, born on July 19, 2001.

Among all her siblings, the 23-year-old is particularly close to her older brother, Luke.

Like most of her siblings, Olivia is also an avid adventurer, splitting her time between Los Angeles, Nashville, and Spain.

Kirk is a proud father of all his children, including Olivia.

In a heartfelt birthday post, he quoted,

I remember carrying your newborn self out of the delivery room and asking God to help me be the dad you needed me to be. I couldn’t be more thankful for the beautiful woman you’ve become.

James Cameron

Born in April 2003, James is the youngest child of Kirk and Chelsea.

The 21-year-old is an avid hunter and wildlife photographer.

After graduating high school in 2021, James has truly embraced the outdoors lifestyle, having traveled to Montana and Wyoming as a fly-fishing guide.

On Instagram, James shares glimpses of his outdoor activities along with hunting and fishing adventures.

James, too, shares a close bond with his parents, particularly his father.

In an appreciation post for his children, Kirk said about James,

Thanks for always wanting me to ”tell you a story,” cracking my knuckles, telling me to stop thinking so much, being a homie, and giving me so many reasons to thank God that I’m your dad.

Conclusion

Practice what you preach,’ is a motto that Kirk Cameron lives by, at least on the matter of family values.

Having six children, all of them more talented than the last, Kirk is truly blessed in the family department.

In an interview with People’s magazine in 2008, Kirk quoted,

They’re just my kids. Literally, I forget who’s adopted and who’s not…I’m their dad and Chelsea’s their mom.

Despite his controversial views on many topics, one cannot argue the nobility in adopting four children and truly raising them as your own.

It seems like Kirk Cameron plans to leave behind quite a legacy.
